Third grade had an excellent trip to Ruby Falls last Friday. Not only did we reinforce prior learning about rocks by seeing stalagmites, stalagtites, and really cool rock formations, the customary units of measurement we have been studying (ex: Ruby Falls cave is located 260 feet beneath the surface that visitors enter.) but we also got to learn about the local history that goes along with Ruby Falls. It was a great trip!
